About

Peter Butler is a composer born in 2003 in Colorado and currently based in Boston. He is currently in his third year of studies in composition at the New England Conservatory of Music under Kati Agocs and Michael Gandolfi. His music has been played in France and across the U.S. He has received a commission funded by the Juilliard School’s Kovner Fellowship Discovery Fund and was a semi-finalist for the 2024 ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Award. 

Along with composition, he is the co-director of Tuesday Night New Music, New England Conservatory's primary concert series for student works.
